Well hello again, it’s been a while, actually it’s been almost exactly a year from out last post. Good lord what’s been going on so much as to keep me quiet. What sort of mangled, tangled, sordid experiences did we have to go through to get to this point. By golly, I’ll tell you what happened, quite frankly LIFE happened, and when LIFE happens you must pay attention. This time last year I was recovering from my bout with colon cancer, including my first ever surgery. If you are going to have surgery, let’s make it a major surgery, you know, get opened up and have something removed, damn the torpedoes Full speed ahead! So good news is I’m still cancer free, thank you Lord. I believe it was right after the Dallas Guitar Show that I went radio silent. I got busy with work, home life and just didn’t take the time to keep the Blog up to date. So it’s a new year and what do we have planned, well I’m glad you asked because I would love to tell you.
My plan is to make at least one or two blog posts a month, this will include my patented Blues Albums of the Week reviews, which will probably end up being a blues album of the forte nightly variety. I want to do more concert/club show entries, with yes, footage included, whilst on the review subject, the plan is to review the venues as well. So you have an idea what you are walking into, when you actually take one of my recommendations. Been updating the events calendar on my Facebook group to include not only shows but also local blues jams. Facebook group, what Facebook group? How very thoughtful of you to ask, it can be found here; https://www.facebook.com/groups/591924381326172. Speaking of blues jams, as I find free time from work, I am going to check out all the jams and report on those as well. Who knows I may even get up and do some jamming myself.
My Instagram account has primarily used to promote this blog, so my thought is to do more Instagram posts including a few licks or two, along with some gear reviews, AKA stuff, crap, junk, items, product I have found and can’t live without.
My YouTube channel will remain as a repository for all my concert/show videos, but I also plan on feature some of my own playing. Keep an eye out for the occasional VLOG, that could be fun.
Alright, so welcome back, here we go, let’s make this a positive year for everyone.
