Walter Trout Alive in Amsterdam Album Review 12-04-2021

Here we go Blues fans, It’s album of the week time. This week we introduce you to one Walter Trout and his Alive in Amsterdam album. What a treat, what a treat! Released in 2016. Great raw guitar stylings, super tone, stupid good chops. While sometimes this could come as knock on someone, I don’t think it is in this case, but Walter likes to hear himself play. And it all comes together for a terrific, energetic live album. Kicks off with “Help Me”, good old straight ahead blues rock to the final tones of “The Love That We Once Knew”. Some other highlights; “Please Take Me Home”, “Omaha”, “Tomorrow Seems So Far Away”. Hopefully this is a new name for you to check out, I discovered Mr Trout several months ago and have really been enjoying his music.
