Alrighty!, Blues album of the week time. This week it’s Joe Bonamassa with “Redemption”, released September 2018 is Joe’s thirteenth album. This is classic Joe, ridiculous chops, nice mix between the melancholy and upbeat fun tunes. Speaking of fun tunes, how bout “Pick Up The Pieces”, “The Ghost of Macon Jones”, “Deep In The Blues Again”. Bit of trivia here, listen closely to both “Ghost” and “Deep”, you will hear the acoustic guitar doubling the electric guitar filling in the guitar tone, nice effect. Other high points include, “Self-Inflected Wounds”, “Stronger Now in Broken Places”, “Redemption” and the rollicking “King Bee Shakedown”.
