Today we drift back in the never lands of the ‘60’s. This week its Fleetwood Mac’s debut album, Fleetwood Mac, released in February 1968. It is also known as Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. This is not the poppy “Rumors” version of the ‘Mac. This is the hard core British blues debut. If you are not familiar with early ‘Mac, might I suggest you dig deep in their catalog, you are going to find some real gems. Highlights include, the opener “My Heart Beat like a Hammer”, “Shake your Money Maker”, “World Keep on Turning”, the melancholy “I Loved Another Woman”. Guitarists Peter Green and JeremySpencer take you on a ride of blues covers and original tunes. Mr Green is in his musical top gun form before mental illness a couple of years later would rob him of so much productivity and living.
