Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers , Sinner Street

All right we got another Blues Album of the Week to get to, this week I present Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, Sinner Street. Released in September 2000, 11 songs rolling in at 50 minutes. I found Jimmy by accident, again, when you get to the end of your playlist on Amazon Music, it will throw out “suggestions”, a good tune came on so I immediately pull phone from pocket to see who it is. Dave meet Jimmy Thackery. Make mental note to remember that name. When I got home, off I go on a treasure hunt. When I find new (to me) artists, I will randomly pick one of their albums and listen to it for several days / weeks, I am looking for at least one thing to send me back to their catalog for more tunes. I usually find it and this was no exception. Highlights include “Hundreds into Ones”, “Chained to the Blues Line”, “Million Dollar Bill”, Blues ‘Fore Dawn”. Two instrumentals on this one, “Sinner Street”, (has a kinda Peter Gunn feel) and “Blues ‘Fore Dawn”. Good stuff from Mr Thackery and the Drivers. I think you will like this one.
