Alastair Greene Dream Train Album Review 10-10-2021

This week I bring for your perusal one Alastair Greene, Dream Train. Released October 2017, 13 tunes of blues rock greatness. I came upon Mr Greene rather accidentally whilst searching thru Amazon Music. It’s always a pleasure to land another keeper. From the opening title song Dream Train, Alastair weaves a steady flow of good ole straight ahead rock and roll. He does give a couple of breaks in the action, “Song for Rufus”, is but one example, highlighting Alastair’s solo acoustic work. Slam the hammer back down with “I’m the Taker”, the straight forward blues of “Another Lie” feat. Walter Trout, “Down to Memphis” feat. Mike Zito. Other highlights, “Big Bad Wolf”, “Grateful Swagger”. Great chops, intense tone, catchy songwriting, good stuff from Alastair Greene. Check him out.
