Lonnie Mack, Live!Attack of the Killer V Album Review 09-26-2021

Alright ! This week we have a treat for you. I bring you Lonnie Mack, Live! Attack of the Killer V. Released in 1990, 8 songs at 50 minutes. Imagine the following, long drive from nowhere to the middle of nowhere. You spot a light in the distance, upon arrival you find its a run-down looking roadhouse with a dozen or so vehicles out front. Needing a break, you stop and venture in. This is the feeling one gets from this album, low-down, raunchy (in the good sense) roadhouse music. Lonnie shows his chops brilliantly, both vocal and guitar I might add, a very enjoyable listen from start to finish. Speaking of finishes, just try to not sing along with Cincinnati Jail. Some highlights, “Riding the Blinds”, “Natural Disaster”, “Satisfy Suzie”. And of course Cincinnati Jail. Check this one out and you will find yourself seeking out more of Mack’s works. You will dig it!
