Yes folks it's that time again, for Dave's Blues Album of the Week! This week I want to introduce for your listening pleasure, Mike Zito, his album "Make Blues, not War". Mike has very nice expressive chops, good vocals that fit the songs perfectly. Take a shot on Mike Zito you will enjoy him. Alright, a couple of highlights: the title track, Make Blues not War, grudgey low-down blues, reminds one of Muddy Water's Hoochie Koochie Man. Highway Mama, hard driven (pardon the pun) good times tune. Bad News is Coming, gritty slow blues, in the vein of "Sky is Crying" Not a "not good" tune on this collection. Check it out.
