The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions

This week’s Blues Album of the week, now we are going old school on this one, is The London Howlin’ Wolf Sessions. This recording brings Howlin’ Wolf together with Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Ian Stewart, even Ringo Starr made an appearance. Some highlights, Sitting on top of the World, Highway 49, Little Red Rooster, ( which includes a false start with Clapton unsure what to play), and Built for Comfort. These recordings were done in May 1970, so we are not talking super quality, but very listenable and enjoyable to say the least. It’s interesting the hear both old and new schools of the blues on the same album.
