This week’s Blues Album o the week is: Matt Schofield, The Trio Live. One of Matt’s earliest works, this was recorded at a small gig back in 2003. High points: Everyday I have the Blues, crisp and clean, a sizzling version of Travelin South and the lowdown Sitting on top of the World. The Trio concept is interesting as it is guitar, drums, keys. The keyboardist is taking care of the bass work as well. I, of course have a affinity for the live album, as I think the live versions allow you to hear exactly what the musician is thinking as he plays. Hopefully, someone out there has found some new to you music
