Alright, it’s time for this week’s Blues album of the week. Now before anyone says “what a give-up”. The other day as I was bopping about on my straight gig, (stocking ammo at Academy), I had my ear buds in listening to some jams, now I got like 800 hrs of music on my phone so I typically have it on “shuffle” just to surprise myself. When what to my wondering ears should appear but the familiar strains of “Trouble No More”, quickly I grabbed phone from pocket to see which version this was, yes sir Ladies and Gentlemen, its was none other than Live at the Fillmore East. I quickly killed the “shuffle”, found said album on my playlist and enjoyed a bit of nirvana (not the band) for the next hour and a half or so. Twas quite glorious I should say. There are no highlights as the whole bloody album is a highlight. So, again, don’t tell me I “mailed it in” this week. But take my advice and listen again for the first time! BTW, everyone is laughing in the photo because right before the pic was taken, there was a knock on the door, it was Duane’s friend with a bag of coke. Duane takes the bag and sits back down, his hands are covering up the bag. Listen again for the first time.
